Wall decor with murals
Murals are available from many
stores that sell wallpaper. If you are striving for a more custom look,
you may want to have one designed specifically for your space.
A mural can be used to make
a space look larger, make it look smaller, or create a feeling or mood
in the space that would be difficult to create any other way. A mural
can also be used to cover an unsightly wall. Be cautious the mural does
not serve to enhance the defect on the wall that you're trying to hide.
If you are sharing the space
with someone else, make sure that they like mural before you purchase
it. I had an experience when my children were young. One of the bedrooms
was decorated with a large mural on one wall that only served to frighten
my son. The end result was taking the mural off the wall and replacing
it with child friendly wallpaper.
